DESCRIPTION

MC 272 is a versatile high security magnetic contact used in both alarm and security access control systems for protection of doors, gates and windows against unauthorized opening and against external magnetic field . A range of accessories makes the contact sui table for a variety of applications.

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

 Contact and magnet should be installed axially, corresponding to each other (the distances in table below are when contact and magnet are moved away from each other axially).  Self-cutting and self-locking thread enables direct

installation in ф 10 mm holes in wood and plastic.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE

MC 272 magnetic contact has two parts: the contact part with a reed switch and the magnet part. In its neutral position the reed sw itch remains closed under the force of the magnetic field. Opening the monitored object increases the distance between the reed switch and the magnet. This causes a change in position of the reed switch and as a result – a path of the signal. MC 272 has a n extra sabotage reed switch to protect the contact from sabotage with an external magnet. When an external magnet is applied to the contact, the sabotage reed switch opens and activates an alarm. The sabotage switch can be also opened by the corresponding (friendly) magnet. The distance between the contact and the corresponding magnet, at which the sabotage reed switch opens is called sabotage distance. Magnetic contacts should not be installed in the vicinity of strong magnetic fields.

INSTALLATION

Contact and magnet must be aligned axially in the frames and leaves of the monitored objects (windows, doors etc.). Offset will reduce the working distances and may result in faulty operation or lower security . The contact should be mounted in the stationary part of the monitore d object (ex. door frame) and the magnet in the movable part (ex. door leaf). Before mounting, holes must be drilled. The self - cutting and self -locking thread of the housing enables easy and reliable installation in ф 10 mm holes in wood and plastic. Twisting the contact housing counterclockwise 2 -3 times before mounting will protect the cable from mechanical stress. For sites where it is impossible to mount the contact directly, a range of accessories is available. Only non-ferromagnetic screws may be used when mounting the contact using accessories. For the most adequate distance for mounting, magnetic part should be place d close to the contact part to get Sabotage distance, then move away magnetic part to get minimum Make distance. After the installation, use an ohmmeter to check the electrical connections and test the function of the magnetic contact. Warning: applying excessive force to the housing of the contact may damage the glass body of the reed switches inside

BESKRIVNING

MC 272 är en mångsidig magnetkontakt med hög säkerhet som används i både larm - och passersystem för skydd av dörrar, grindar och fönster mot obehörig öppning och mot yttre magnetfält. Ett antal tillbehör gör kontakten lämplig för olika applikationer.

MONTERINGSINSTRUKTION

 Kontakt och magnet ska installeras axiellt, mitt emot varandra (avstånden nedan är när magnet och kontakt flyttas isär axiellt).  Självgängande och självlåsande gänga möjliggör direkt

installation i ф 10 mm hål i trä och plast.

KRETSSCHEMA

FUNKTION

Magnetkontakten MC 272 består av två delar: kontakten med reed-switchen och magneten. I sitt neutrala läge förblir reed-switchen stängd under magnetfältets kraft. Genom att öppna det övervakade objektet ökar avståndet mellan reedomkopplaren och magneten. Detta orsakar en ändring av läget för reed-switchen och som ett resultat - en ny signalväg. MC 272 har en extra sabotage reed -switch för att skydda kontakten från sabotage med en extern magnet. När en extern magnet appliceras på /nära kontakten öppnas sabotage-reeden och aktiverar ett larm . Den kan också öppnas med motsvarande (vänliga) magnet. Avståndet mellan kontakten och motsvar ande magnet, vid vilket sabotage reeden öppnar, kallas sabotage-avstånd. Magnetkontakter skall aldrig installeras i närheten av starka magnetfält.

INSTALLATION

Kontakt och magnet skall monteras axiellt mot varandra i karm, dörrblad, fönster etc. Offset minskar arbetsavståndet och kan leda till felaktig funktion eller lägre säkerhet. Kontakten ska monteras i den stationära delen av det övervakade objektet (ex. Dör rkarmen) och magneten i den rörliga delen (ex. Dörrblad). Innan montering måste hål borras. Den självgängande och självlåsande gängan på huset möjliggör enkel och pålitlig installation i ф 10 mm hål i trä och plast. Om du vrider kontakthuset moturs 2 -3 gån ger innan montering skyddar du kabeln från mekanisk påfrestning under och efter montering. För att på ett bra sätt kunna montera kontakten på svåra/omöjliga ställen finns ett antal tillbehör tillgängliga. Endast icke -ferromagnetiska skruvar får användas vid montering av kontakten med tillbehör. För att uppnå optimalt avstånd vid montering bör magnetdelen först placeras nära kontaktdelen för att få sabotage-avstånd, sedan flyttas axiellt bort för att få fram minimumavståndet för slutning. Använd en ohmmeter efter installationen för att kontrollera de elektriska anslutningarna och testa magnetkontaktens funktion. Varning: Att använda överdriven kraft på kontaktens hölje kan skada glaskroppen på reed-switchen inuti.
