Installation and
configuration guide
INTRODUCTION
opera is a remote control that allows the user to activate/deactivate up to 7 scenarios(*) (the number depends on the lares 4.0 control panel configuration), in addition to the PANIC/SOS function: if enabled, any key of the remote control can be pressed to activate the PANIC / SOS function, triggering a series of actions such as voice calls, SMS, e-mail, whose addressees, as well as the actions to be performed, are preconfigured in the lares 4.0 control panel. In this mode, the PANIC / SOS signal is also sent by pressing the central button of opera, which normally indicates the battery status. Besides, thanks to the bi-directional communication, it also delivers the system status (armed, disarmed and partial) in any moment, signaled by 3 LEDs positioned on the upper part. (*)A scenario is a set of operations (close main door, turn on garden lights, lower the shutters, etc.) activated by an unique command. All the scenarios are totally customizable by the installer.

FUNCTIONALITY DESCRIPTION
CONFIRM ACTIVATION: opera will confirm the execution of your command by turning on the corresponding red LED or by short vibration. Vibration is an optional function that MUST be programmed by the installer through the Installer configuration program. If not, the programming default is excluding the vibration for battery optimization purposes. NOTE: Even if programmed, this option is automatically deactivated in case of low battery level. OPERATION FAILED: In case of “operation failed” (e.g. Out of Range) opera will signal the error by flashing contemporary the 3 red LEDs.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT

Temperature operation below +5 °C will reduce the battery life significantly. Caution! Observe the correct polarity when installing battery. Use only Maxell Lithium CR-2032 batteries for replacement. Warning! Battery may explode if mistreated. Do not recharge, disassemble or dispose of in fire. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions. The supplied product contains a battery with a button / coin element. Do not swallow the battery. Danger of chemical burn. If the battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and lead to death. Keep new and used batteries away from children. If the battery compartment does not close securely, suspend the use of the product and keep it away from children. In case of suspected ingestion or insertion of the battery into any other body orifices, seek medical advice immediately.
CONFIGURATION
After having acquired the remote control, by activating the acquisition mode from the lares 4.0 control panel and holding the "ì" key for 3 seconds, it is possible to configure opera from the "Installer" program. The configuration consists in enabling/disabling users to use the remote control, on the basis of the access level assigned, entering the serial number of the remote control and enabling the options available (confirm with vibration and use of long key press). Therefore it is necessary to create Scenarios to be associated with actions and then associate the Events with the programmed Scenarios. Finally, associate the Notifications (calls, SMS, etc.) with the Events created. For further information, refer to the lares 4.0 "Installer" Programming Manual
